    Food Meditation: Morning Tea

January 12, 2014 by Ingrid Beer 5 Comments

Welcome to this peaceful little space at our table that we like to call “Food Meditation”. This is a special, contemplative short-film series that my husband and I wish to share with you in hopes that you will pull up a comfy chair and spend a few moments connecting to that beautiful serenity that can so often be found in the most unexpected places; and perhaps, you'll be moved to reflect and meditate upon it.

    Food Meditation: Morning Tea

From our souls to yours, please enjoy.

    Ingrid & Michael

Have you ever treated yourself to the relaxing beauty found in watching your morning tea steep in freshly boiled water?

As the color releases from the thin little pouch, it dances and glides as it flows and fills the mug slowly and completely, until all traces of colorlessness are gone and replaced by a vibrant, new hue.

Stunning simplicity that sweetly infuses the spirit, and quietly uplifts the mind.

Enjoy this cup of “Morning Tea”.

I just loved this and have often thought of my daily tea ritual (afternoon for me) akin to something like a prayer or meditation; thank you. Are you able to load the video itself on to your FB page? (I would love to share it with my fans rather than on my personal page). Cheers.

Jennifer, thanks so much! My hubby & I are thrilled that you enjoyed this—and it's exactly in the way we hoped that people would.

This was a blessing for me today. My days, like most people I know, can get to be so busy with various tasks and caring for the needs of others that slowing down to reflect, or pray, or simply rest can be neglected. Thank you for this gentle reminder.

Barrie, thank you so very much for your lovely comment. It touched my husband and I so very deeply, as this little video (and the few others that we have like this) was a real labor of love, meant specifically to uplift folks and offer a little respite from the daily grind.

So happy to read that it was a blessing for you, and we appreciate you taking some time to comment and let us know this. Much love.
