Food Meditation: Guinness Extra Stout Float

March 12, 2014 by Ingrid Beer 2 Comments

Welcome to this peaceful little space at our table that we like to call “Food Meditation”. This is a special, contemplative short-film series that my husband and I wish to share with you in hopes that you will pull up a comfy chair and spend a few moments connecting to that beautiful serenity that can so often be found in the most unexpected places; and perhaps, you'll be moved to reflect and meditate upon it.

Food Meditation: Guinness Extra Stout Float

From our souls to yours, please enjoy.

    Ingrid & Michael

An ice cream float is one thing; a Guinness ice cream float is an entirely different thing.

Into an icy-cold and frosty Guinness glass add 3-4 scoops of rich, velvety vanilla ice cream, then slowly and deliberately pour 1 (12 fl.oz) bottle of Guinness Extra Stout over the center of that ice cream, allowing it to foam and mingle; and finally, sit back and enjoy the sweet complexities—this celebration in a glass—whether St. Patrick's Day, or any other.

    Slainte!

I have made this in the past. As a Wisconsin fella I love anything dairy and anything beer!
