From the Heart: Well, Hello 2019!

January 7, 2019 by Ingrid Beer 4 Comments

“Well, we have a whole new year ahead of us. And wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all be a little more gentle with each other, a little more loving, and have a little more empathy, and maybe, next year at this time we'd like each other a little more.” ~Judy Garland

From the Heart: Well, Hello 2019!

Is it true? Is it really already 2019?!

Indeed, my friends, it is! And what an amazing opportunity this brand new year brings in with it to begin afresh, to once again officially start with a clean slate and a “day one”, and be a witness to all that will unfold in these days, weeks, and months ahead...

My hope for 2019 is that we may live a life of abundance, fearlessness, boldness, joy, and openness; and that when challenges come our way (and they will), we will not allow them to overtake the joy that is present, nor dim the light that exists that guides us along on our individual paths towards something better, more rewarding, and bigger than we are.

May we make it a point to really step out and taste the many delicious flavors that each and every day has to offer us, and savor what we discover, and then pass along the good stuff to others so that they, too, may experience the beauty that is there in life which makes the challenges more bearable.

May we make it a point to turn off all the noise that only creates stress and anxiety, and to rather turn towards the silence and the calm within in order to hear the still, small voice that is there, always guiding, always gently nudging, always whispering the things of a more loving nature.

May we seek out the compassion in our hearts and use it to better understand one another, so that we may treat each other in the way the we, ourselves, would prefer to be treated.

May we really listen, really seek, and really strive for something better than what we had in the past, in order to create a better future for ourselves as well as for everyone who's lives we touch.

I, personally, would like to try new things this year, and become a bit more adventurous in hopes of stretching aspects of myself that don't usually get stretched.

I'd like to try to find out some new things about myself, and perhaps become pleasantly surprised by what I discover!

And I'd really like to make 2019 a year to remember, one where the challenges that come along become teachable moments for me, and the lightness and the loveliness that I find become like sips of cool, sweet water that refreshes my soul...

    So happy 2019, Friends!

May it be all and so much more than you hope for it to be!

And may the experiences this new year gives you become fuel for your life, to drive you forward, to push you that much more, and bring you into the life that you are meant to live, one day at a time.

Taste what's good and pass it on.

    Ingrid

“From The Heart” is a space for me to share some of my more personal thoughts on life. Here you'll find my reflections on my own inner/spiritual journey; on being a wife and mother; on being a creative; and general observations, pretty much whatever is on my mind.

I whole-heartedly believe that sharing "from the heart" with one another is what connects us, heals us, and inspires us! Glad you're here...
