From the Heart: And The Cycle of Life Begins Again...

March 30, 2018 by Ingrid Beer 2 Comments

“Spring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems.” ~Rainer Maria Rilke

From the Heart: And The Cycle of Life Begins Again...

With winter now gone, it's quiet, cold, dormancy left behind on the page we just turned, there is room for a new season to make its way in, bringing with it a fresh beginning.

Spring is the first season of a brand new year, and offers up an opportunity to start again, with a clean slate. It symbolizes vitality, the process of birth and re-birth, and that aspect of creation that is vibrant and colorful and alive.

It offers new life to grow out of old life that has passed away but is not forgotten; it offers young tender buds and crisp new blooms a chance to open up out of the silence of the past season, where life took a break and slumbered deeply, undisturbed by the sparse sunlight.

Now, the birds chirp and sing once again, and create their nests to lay their eggs and raise their young...

Now, the air hangs gloriously and deliciously thick and heavy with the sweet scent of orange blossoms, honey, and jasmine...

Now, the sun shows its golden face more boldly, even through the rain clouds that roll in, say "hello", and pass through on their way to another place.

Spring is the season in which we are meant to create new hopes and dreams to manifest in the upcoming months; it is a season in which we lay down our old ways in order to experience the next level of our personal evolution and grow brilliantly and fantastically like wildflowers in an open field.

And it teaches us to respect and honor the season which we have just come out of, the one that has informed us richly and deeply, and prepared the ground from which the tender young sprout that is this present moment grows out of.

And so the cycle of life begins again...

What once was passes away, but not before informing and nourishing what is now, and what is yet to come.

Spring is like a child that is exuberant and untamed in its ways, full of energy and vigor, and bursting with fresh life.

But may that child not be allowed to be ignorant of the past season from whence it came, the one that gave itself up and withered away so that spring's new buds may flourish abundantly.

Taste what's good and pass it on.

    Ingrid

“From The Heart” is a space for me to share some of my more personal thoughts on life. Here you'll find my reflections on my own inner/spiritual journey; on being a wife and mother; on being a creative; and general observations, pretty much whatever is on my mind.

I whole-heartedly believe that sharing "from the heart" with one another is what connects us, heals us, and inspires us! Glad you're here...

Thank you so very much for your posts. They always seem to come at the right time.
They never fail to brighten my spirit and make all the negative that is going on around
me seem to disappear for a while. I guess what they really do is shift me to the positive.
I thank you for that and for the wonderful recipes. Wishes to you and your family for
      a beautiful Spring.

Debbie, thank you so much for sharing that with me.

My heart is glad and grateful to know that these posts in some way spread some love, light, and positivity, as nothing means more to me than to be able (in some small way) to do that. That is exactly why I write these, to shift myself and anyone else who may need it in that direction.

They're meant as simple reminders that there is so much more to life than what we may be able to witness, receive, and understand in any given moment. And thank God for that.

When you wrote, "I guess they shift me to the positive", that really got me the most. Your statement also speaks volumes that you are in touch with yourself, and scrutinize your inner world in such a way that you sense a shift in the first place. You are malleable, and should consider that a blessing.

I am sending my warmest wishes, hopes, and prayers that whatever season you are presently finding yourself in, may it teach you and expand you, ultimately; and may you find the beauty and positivity present somewhere (even if hidden) in all things. Much love...
