From The Heart: Desire Is Everything

July 20, 2017 by Ingrid Beer 2 Comments

Desire is as unique a thing as a fingerprint.

From The Heart: Desire Is Everything

Each one of us has been endowed with desires by our Creator specific to how we have been created, perfectly matched to help fulfill the destiny we came into this world to fulfill.

Therefore, no two desires are identical even if they do contain a similar flavor.

Desire is that longing for something; it is that amazing force that pulls ones towards another person, place, or experience, and informs the direction of one's life, coloring the choices that one makes.

It is a compass that helps one gauge whether or not one is on the right track, moving in the direction of one's true calling and full revelation, or moving away from it.

Desire is everything...It offers a beginning point for prayer, and the opportunity to ask for help.

Desire is that current that flows through one's being that causes one to rise in the morning and to put one foot in front of the other, to get dressed, get ready, and meet the day with an agreement to participate, to engage.

I am nothing without my desires, as they are the very things that make me the best at being me than anyone else ever could be, just as yours make you the very best at being you.

And that is why desires are so sacred, so carefully and wonderfully housed in our heart, the arc of the covenant, which is the mystical space within us reserved for our own personal relationship with the Creator.

Desire is God's way of whispering to us what He had in mind when He wonderfully and painstakingly made us, what His purpose for creating me and for creating you was.

It is what He uses to guide us into our gifts and into our unique reason for being here in the first place, quietly reminding us that if He has placed a desire within us, we are indeed equipped to fulfill it.

    Desire is everything.

It offers hope and vision of what is possible.

It offers a beginning point for prayer, and the opportunity to ask for help.

Desire offers us a blueprint to our lives while allowing us the freedom to fill in the details—to manifest those desires and flesh things out—ourselves.

What are your desires whispering to you?

What are they urging and inspiring you to uniquely accomplish? What destiny are you meant to fulfill?

Taste what's good and pass it on.

“From The Heart” is a space for me to share some of my more personal thoughts on life. Here you'll find my reflections on my own inner/spiritual journey; on being a wife and mother; on being a creative; and general observations, pretty much whatever is on my mind.

I whole-heartedly believe that sharing 'from the heart' with one another is what connects us, heals us, and inspires us! Glad you're here...
