“Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so you shall become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil." ~James Allen
This past year has been a real gift.
It has had its high moments as well as its low moments, and the gift is that I've learned something from all of my experiences that I can take with me going forward into this wonder and possibility-filled upcoming year that is knocking at the door.
I've learned to search my heart more deeply this past year, learned to ask questions of myself that will stir my waters and get me out of my comfort zone, learned to be more flexible in order to stay more open and available to all that is happening around me and not so reactive, learned to not fear the tougher, more challenging times so much because I've seen how much growth and change for the better can take place within me when I make it through to the other side of those times.
These past twelve months I've thought a lot about what my strengths and weaknesses are, and how to take those strengths and put them out front and make better use of them, while working hard to transform the weaknesses, with God's help, into new qualities that will eventually contribute to my well being and help to create a stronger sense of empathy for others because we all face the challenge of weakness.
Going into a brand new year truly offers an opportunity for renewal, and to dream big, think big, be big.
I've searched my heart for what my true passions are, and have given myself permission to think outside the box and dream bigger than I ever have in the past, and to embark upon endeavors that, if you asked me a couple of years ago, I wouldn't have dreamt I'd be embarking upon.
I've learned to trust myself more and how to best use the gifts that I have been given. I've discovered that I no longer wish to wait on someone else to “choose me”, or to validate who I am and tell me what I can or can't contribute, but that I can choose myself, then put in the elbow grease needed to accomplish something I long to accomplish and trust the work to be blessed and multiplied.
I look forward to some changes that are coming for me in the upcoming year (I will share more on those in the weeks ahead). I look forward to putting into practice the notion of stepping out in faith and trusting the gifts that God has endowed me with, and using them as fully as possible to create the life I long to live instead of a life possibly tinged with regret at not having the courage to act upon that quiet voice that urged me to move forward in a particular direction.
Each of us is given a life to live, given the opportunity to make something fulfilling, amazing, and new happen each and every day; and I don't want another day to go by where I shrink from being my best and boldest, or shrink from participating in what makes my heart sing and reveals the Creator's intentions when He painstakingly created me.
Going into a brand new year truly offers an opportunity for renewal, and to dream big, think big, be big.
It's a chance to evaluate where perhaps some settling has occurred and to shake things up.
A new year is a chance to start again, a chance to be truly authentic, and to grab a hold of “day one” and make it count.
Are you ready and willing to dream BIG in this upcoming year?
Are you ready to take a step out in faith expecting the best to happen?
We've all been given the gift of life in order to co-create and experience with our Creator; it's up to each of us to seize the opportunity to dream big, and to truly live.
Taste what's good and pass it on.

“From The Heart” is a space for me to share some of my more personal thoughts on life. Here you'll find my reflections on my own inner/spiritual journey; on being a wife and mother; on being a creative; and general observations, pretty much whatever is on my mind.
I whole-heartedly believe that sharing 'from the heart' with one another is what connects us, heals us, and inspires us! Glad you're here...
