“I believe in intuitions and inspirations...I sometimes FEEL that I am right. I do not KNOW that I am.” ~Albert Einstein
I consider myself a gal who is strongly guided by intuition, that strong sense that lets me know that something needs my attention and consideration, and perhaps warrants a closer inspection.
Intuition washes over me the way that a wave would, coming on slowly and gently, and then building to a heightened crescendo that cannot be ignored.
A certain thought or feeling towards either a person or a situation will begin to build and swell, and I'll find myself coming back to it and scrutinizing the contents as more little details begin to unfold and get filled in, and scenarios, like polaroid photos, become more fleshed out.
Intuition is like a little voice, one that without obvious words somehow seems to paint a picture, showing me possibilities; it directs my attention to where I currently stand and where I could potentially be going, which affords me the opportunity to, in a way, have almost a foretaste of whether a situation that I find myself in is right for me, or not.
But intuition is certainly not unique to me.
Sometimes, the very information and guidance that we need comes from a place that is not logical, or exact, or that even completely makes sense.
I believe that the voice of intuition is there as a guide, and is something that we all have as part of our array of gifts that help us along; that when we listen to our intuition intently, and closely, it often gives us queues about when to make a move, and when to stay put and just be still.
Do you yourself ever experience that quiet, soft voice within you that tells you, “Now”, or, “Not now”?
Are you familiar with that slight tingle that is trying to get your attention, that soft current that flows in when you find yourself in a particular circumstance?
It is there within us all, but it is up to each of us to choose whether or not to heed its subtle call, to pay attention and to delve into the message that it brings with it.
Is your intuition telling you that you ought to make a move, even if the details you feel you need aren't perfectly fleshed out quite yet?
Is your intuition telling you that you are in a situation that is slowly scraping away at your very core, your essence, that will ultimately cause you to go against everything you stand for later on down the road, if it isn't already?
Is your intuition whispering to you that you've indeed found the right person for yourself—your life partner, your personal “soul mate”—but you're still having second thoughts and are afraid to make the commitment?
Is that little voice giving you inner promptings to take a bit of a risk, to jump into your dream, even though you may certainly encounter some resistance or challenges along the way, and that scares you?
How much credence do you give your voice of intuition when it begins impressing upon you the valuable information that comes from that place that is outside of the “realm of reason”, and that springs forth out of that sacred place of the ethereal?
It's alright that not everything makes perfect sense always; it's OK if we don't have all of the concrete answers in each and every scenario in life.
Sometimes, the very information and guidance that we need comes from a place that is not logical, or exact, or that even completely makes sense.
But I believe that intuition calls upon us to turn ourselves over in faith and in hope that what is being shared and laid upon our heart in a quiet and subtle way will become perfectly clear in due time, when we are ready to understand it more fully.
Perhaps we each have intuition in order to learn to quiet ourselves and to listen on a deeper level, to learn the benefit of subtly, to learn to trust and to operate out of faith, and to begin to discern between what the outer world—our flesh—desires, and what the inner world—our spirit—already understands and functions out of.
That voice of intuition may be soft and understated for us right now; but the more we listen for it, and give it its due respect and place, the stronger and more obvious and readily available it will become to us.
Taste what's good and pass it on.

“From The Heart” is a space for me to share some of my more personal thoughts on life. Here you'll find my reflections on my own inner/spiritual journey; on being a wife and mother; on being a creative; and general observations, pretty much whatever is on my mind.
I whole-heartedly believe that sharing 'from the heart' with one another is what connects us, heals us, and inspires us! Glad you're here...
