We've all got those foods—a Crispy Chicken Strips Flatbread Wrap, for instance—that we love to partake in, especially when they happen to have that amazing sauce that takes them up another level, making them so enjoyable. And we all have that special something within each of us that makes us uniquely amazing—so what's yours?
Have you ever given much thought to what it is that makes you uniquely you?
Is it your quirkiness, your laugh, your sense of humor, your pin-point intuition, your zany-ness, your dependability, your wit...?
Could it be your fashion sense, the depth of your wisdom, your ability to eloquently speak your mind, your amazing sense of direction, your kindness when dealing with another's feelings, your ability to be empathetic, your willingness to serve others with a smile...?
Each one of us have that “special sauce”, that certain kick of flavor within us that makes us unique and helps to brightens up the world around us just a little bit more; we each have been imbued with a gift or a quality that is specific to ourself, one that sets us apart from anyone else in the world, and that's a beautiful thing.
It's what makes you who you are, and unlike anyone else!
It kinda makes me think of all those foods I love to partake in, those foods with a special quality that keep me coming back for more, because their flavor is so irresistible.
It's like that salad that has that really great dressing, or that chicken sandwich with that amazingly creamy sauce, and those crispy French fries with that awesome dipping sauce with a bit of a kick to it.
Each of them have their very own special sauce that they come with that takes things to another level, that helps to make them that much more enticing.
Don't we all want to enjoy those things that have a unique yet mouthwatering flavor?
Don't we just love those things that slightly surprise us, and remind us of all the vibrancy and “one-of-a-kind-ness" we find in the world?
It's time for each of us to own the special qualities we have that bring light and that make us who we are; it's time to reflect on ourself a little and boldly share with others the special things that we've been given as a part of our make-up that help make our world more interesting and delectable, and that much better.
After all, these are things that are not meant to be kept only for ourselves, but are meant to be openly shared as a reminder of the masterpiece that we as mankind are.
So what's your “special sauce”?
Taste what's good and pass it on.

Crispy Chicken Strips Flatbread Wrap with Creamy Honey-Dijon Sauce
by Ingrid Beer
Yield: Makes about 4-6 flatbread wraps
Ingredients:
• 1 pound skinless chicken breast tenders, sliced in half length-wise to create thinner strips
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 teaspoon salt
• ¼ teaspoon black pepper
• 1 large clove garlic, pressed through garlic press
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoon paprika
• 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
• Vegetable oil, for frying
• Flatbreads
• Romaine lettuce greens
• Tomato slices
• Red onion sliced
• 4-6 slices crispy bacon
• Honey-Dijon Sauce (recipe below)
Preparation:
-Place the sliced chicken breast tenders into a bowl, and pour the buttermilk over top; add in the 1 teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper, plus the pressed garlic clove, and toss to mix well; marinate the chicken for at least 20 minutes, or even overnight, if making ahead.
-Once marinated, drain the buttermilk very well; add the flour along with the paprika, the ground white pepper, a couple of pinches of salt and black pepper, to a large zip-lock bag; add the chicken strips into the bag and shake it up really vigorously, coating the chicken in the seasoned flour; remove the coated chicken and place onto a plate to hold.
-Add enough oil to a large cast-iron skillet (or other pan/skillet) to come up about 1-2 inches, and heat the oil until hot (about 360°); working in batches, add in some of the chicken strips and fry for a couple of minutes on each side, or until golden-brown and crispy; drain on a wire rack, and repeat until all chicken tenders are fried.
-To assemble, place a wrap in front of you and add to the center about 2-3 of the chicken strips, and drizzle over a generous amount of the Honey-Dijon Sauce; top with some of the greens, a slice of bacon, some of the tomato slices, and some of the red onion, and fold over (you can wrap in parchment paper for easier serving); serve warm or cold.

That looks amazing! Love the idea for the sauce!
Thank you!
Great idea! So easy to make 🙂 I made a similar sauce but used yoghurt instead of sour cream.
Yes, yogurt is a great substitute for the sour cream, Amber. Thanks!
